Parece que las olas pequeñas del Quiksilver Pro New York iban a defraudar pero lo cierto es que ha visto buen surfing, mucho aéreo y 360.
Con estas condiciones habría que apostar por gente como Adriano de Souza, Julian Wilson, Alejo Muniz, y cómo no, por Kelly Slater.
La nota de la jornada la protagonizó Bobby Martinez después de su manga contra Bede Durbidge. En la entrevista posterior puso a caldo a la ASP y al nuevo sistema de clasificación por lo que la ASP le expulsó acojiéndose a la Norma 151 de las Reglas de ASP.
Lo cierto es que a Booby le daba igual. Ya había anunciado su marcha de la competición pero lo cierto es que será recordado no por ser uno de los mejores surfistas del mundo si no por ser un amargado maleducado. Muy triste.
